Two different assignment types must be clearly separated
You are not expected to enter private facilities without permission. Internal site checks are performed only where access is granted. If access is refused or restricted, you document the limitation and complete the assignment within the approved scope.
Authorized Site Visit

Limited Exterior Presence Check
- Used only when internal access is not arranged, not granted or not possible
- Evidence is limited to lawful public-area or exterior observations

- The report clearly states that no internal factory verification was performed

Do verifiers enter facilities only with permission?
Yes. For internal areas, the visit must be authorized by the supplier, site owner or an appropriate site representative. A client order does not automatically give a verifier the right to enter private property.
What happens if access is not granted?
The verifier does not force access. The assignment may become a limited exterior presence check, and the report clearly states that internal areas were not verified.
Is this a full factory audit?
No. This sample is a basic verification task, not a full audit. It does not require you to certify quality systems, inspect machinery technically, verify legal ownership or make formal compliance conclusions.
Do I need to be a certified inspector to apply?
Not always. Some assignments require qualified engineers, auditors or certified specialists. Others require reliable local presence, clear photos, careful observation and factual reporting.
Can I take photos inside the facility?
Only where photography is allowed by the site representative and permitted by the assignment scope. If photos are restricted, the restriction is documented as a limitation.
Can I decline an assignment?
Yes. You should only accept assignments that match your availability, location, competence and comfort level. Safety, legality and honest reporting are more important than forcing a visit.
